Redesign of a Farmhouse in Wareham - whole property project

Brief: Update a farmhouse which had not been decorated for 15 years or modified for 25 years

The brief here was to completely redesign the 3 bedroom farmhouse, and manage the project.

The kitchen:

  • The old brown lino flooring was replaced with limestone tiles

  • The kitchen was reconfigured and units installed - Howdens

  • New integrated appliances were installed

  • A door and window between the kitchen and utility were removed

  • the beams were sanded down to remove dark stain

  • Dark velux window frames were painted

  • Walls were painted in F&B James White and Inchyra Blue

  • One wall was papered with Cole & Cole Cow Parsley wallpaper

  • Old dated and superfluous patio doors were replaced by a picture window

  • A bespoke large kitchen table was handcrafted locally

  • Antique chairs were sourced to mix with more modern existing chairs

  • A preloved French dresser was painted in F&B James White eggshell

The rest of the house:

  • F&B Inchyra Blue and Oval Room Blue Estate emulsion in the hall and landing

  • F&B London Stone, Oxford Stone and Dimity on walls and ceilings in the bedrooms and reception rooms
